!Henrietta was born in Germany to parents who were Holocaust survivors (a perfect set-up for being funny!). The family moved to Canada when her parents were denied entrance to the United States because they were accused of being Communists (a movie of the week?). Henrietta spent her childhood and young adulthood growing up in Montreal then attended college in Ohio. After college, she returned to Montreal and attended graduate school where she met her now ex-husband, the rabbi. (Plenty of material there). After 20 years of marriage, she left it all, took Caramel the cat, and moved to Hollywood. Henrietta’s favorite story is about the time she went to consult a psychic, (a 106-year old Buddhist monk who was deaf) and someone handed her a mug with the Hollywood sign on it. Henrietta has been performing throughout Southern California for over five years and already has a following (mostly old white guys and young black guys), who call her a “rock n roll spitfire” and “crazy and funny” and come to her shows because you never know what she’ll do next. Although Henrietta is still waiting for a fairy-tale ending to her story, her mishaps in Hollywood (going broke, trying to find a job when your only qualifications is smiling and shaking hands, and dating losers from the Internet) makes for just more hilarious material.

The LA Times has referred to her as "A clown in her own right." She has appeared on the Improv Television show Outrageous, and she can also be seen as "Susan" in the Independent Film Short. As a starving artist Barbara has been able to make some side money as a contestant in more than 10 Gameshows, including The Gong Show, Shop til you Drop, Supermarket Sweep just to name a few.
