Emily Wassler grew up on the mean streets of Queens where she found comedy to be her best defense. When she was 4 years old she was helping her dad rake the leaves in the backyard with her blue Fisher Price rake, when she came upon a "clump" of leaves. Emily picked it up, as the tiny spokes in the rake would not allow her to rake further, and found that was no "clump" in her hand, but a dead bird. From that point on, Emily had a serious fear of birds and still does. And, no, she's never seen the movie "The Birds". Would you if you were her?!? Emily moved to L.A. in 1997 to "try it out for a year" and has been here ever since. She was part of Second City L.A. for two years and just recently started performing stand-up at various clubs in L.A., including the Hollywood Improv and the Comedy Union. You can also see her driving around L.A. in her Jeep, making herself laugh as she honks at bad drivers.
