Hollie Young

Hollie Young has been doing comedy for three years. She is a regular at the Irvine Improv and Martini Blues.  Hollie participated last year in the Funniest Person in Orange County Contest.  She's been taking acting classes since she's three years old and comedy classes for the last three years.  Her father was a traveling salesman (a "Tin Man" just like the movie!) and she used to go on the road with him in upstate New York in the summers during her childhood.  She inherited his great sense of humor and used to act out skits from the Jackie Gleason Variety Show for his customers.  That always got them laughing and "broke the ice" which ultimately led to the sale!

Hollie starting doing comedy in January 2001 and her husband Steve used to come with her to all her shows.  He figured since he's always at her shows he might as well take a comedy class with her so Hollie and Steve took Jeff Jena's class at the Irvine Improv in April 2001.  They perform together as a tag team at clubs and private functions but Hollie also has her own funny, original act about a Jewish chick being married to a guy from India.
