Kitty Leavitt

Kitty Leavitt (aka) Kitty DeCarlo, is originally from Lorain, Ohio, moved to California in 1975 to seek fame, fortune, and sunshine. Landing in Malibu, she has been there ever since. Kitty started doing stand-up comedy in 1993, after many years as an actress. To her stand-up comedy was the final frontier. It was something she had always wanted to do, but was afraid to come out from behind that wall that separates the actor from the audience. Once she stepped out, and talked to the audience, she made them laugh.

Kitty wrote her first stand-up routine when she was ten years old and had to get her tonsils out. The doctor put the gas mask on her and told her to they were going to play air plane pilot. Before she passed out, she told the man with the knife, who was about to slit her throat, that at this point she'd rather he play doctor, and leave the flying to her.

Kitty now does comedy about life after the age of forty, and how things change, but inevitably stay the same. Her routines change with her life, but the laughter remains constant. She is one funny lady on, as well as off, the stage.
