![]() Elizabeth Payne Elizabeth Payne began her professional career in regional theater at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco where she received her M.F.A. in Acting and served as both an acting company member and faculty member. Ms. Payne appeared in numerous productions from the classics to contemporary pieces; favorite roles include Emilia in Othello, Anya in The Cherry Orchard, and Madge in Picnic. While in the Bay Area she worked at many noted regional theater companies including Berkeley Repertory Theatre, San Jose Stage, and the Marin Shakespeare Company. In addition to acting, Ms. Payne taught and directed at the A.C.T. Conservatory and the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival as well as coaching for the San Jose Civic Light Opera and San Francisco State University. She also worked extensively in commercial and animated voice-over. Upon moving to Los Angeles Ms. Payne continued to work in voice-over and began her foray into television and film. She has provided the voices for Nestle Toll House Morsels, Pillsbury Toaster Strudels, Orchard Supply and Hardware, and Macy’s to name a few. This past season she had a recurring role on Alias as well as appearing on Malcolm in the Middle, Oliver Beene, Hidden Hills, and For the People. Prior to that she guest-starred on The Drew Carey Show, Nash Bridges, and Buffy, the Vampire Slayer among others and made her feature film debut in Steven Spielberg’s, Minority Report. For the past five years Ms. Payne has had the privilege and pleasure of studying with Jeffrey Tambor. |
